((Warning for violence; no harm to animals))

Ellie had felt like a Stepford sub of sorts today, trying to fulfill her role as loving fiancee, caregiver, and obedient sub as best she could. The first two were easy to manage, but the third, specifically being open and honest about her feelings, she was failing miserably. She hadn't told Michael about the letter she'd written to Dr. Crane, and anyway, she'd lost it somewhere between their apartment and the Stables.

More than anything though, she wanted to please and serve Michael. While he rested, she rode around the paddock for him, even attempting a few low jumps too. Mr. Dobson and Nat had also taken care of him too, even cooking dinner for all of them. But now it was time to get cleaned up and go back to their Chicago for the night.

She'd even poked around the Nexus to see if Dr. Crane might've shown up, but so far, nothing. And however much she hated him, she liked Isobel very much and hoped she was okay. Because he's abused her and treated her poorly... how dare he do that to her? Her anger was boiling up again, just thinking about it. Maybe I should go back tonight, to find him... and give him another piece of my mind.

So, you know. Of course -now- is the time when people pinpoint in, stumble and look generally shitty and shocked. And bleeding. In a generally huge amount.

Because apparently, this is where you pinpoint in when you just hit random buttons in a flaily fear gassed panic.
Ellie had almost been ready to go back into the house to get Michael and go home when --

A body appears on the front porch.

Is that...?

"Izzy? Isobel?" It certainly looks like her, but oh God, the blood! And at the moment, she might just be the angriest she's ever been in her life.
She shakes a bit, and touches her stomach. Oh, she's bleeding. She probably has noticed this before, but she still looks shocked about it. "Ellie...." She shakes and then she falls down, hard.
She's never seen so much blood before, not even on herself that time. Though she's scared, even a little panicked right now, she's absolutely ANGRY. I hate you, Jonathan Crane. I hope you DIE.

"Oh God, Izzy!" Somehow, her limbs actually work and she rips off her jacket to use something to control the bleeding. She's on autopilot now, too worried about the bleeding to call out to Michael just yet.

Running to her side, she takes a quick look at the cut -- it's deep and bad. Pressing the jacket over the cut, she doesn't know what to ask first. "What happened? Who did this?"
She winces a bit, and screams a bit. But that's more from the fear gas than any sort of pain. She's been shot before. She's had children. She tells herself that she can handle pain. It's likely a lie.

"Jon...Jonathan...it's ok. It's okay!" She seems almost insistant on that.
"I need to get you to a hospital, okay?" This is anything but okay. So help me God, if she dies, I will find that worthless excuse of a man and tear his straw out and make him eat it!

Now where to take her? Their Chicago, where they might think her to be a transient, somewhere in the Nexus, or maybe somewhere else. She really hates to do this, but...

"MICHAEL! I need you, NOW!"
He's been resting in the living room, dozing a little, when he hears the commotion. At first he thinks it's a TV show or something... until Ellie calls out. The panic in her voice is so intense that he's jumped to his feet before he realizes it. He races for the door and wrenches it open, grabbing onto the frame as a small wave of dizziness washes over him.

Then he sees the scene on the porch and everything comes into sharp focus for him.

"Good God, what happened?"
She's trying very, very hard not to scream more, and she's pretty much failing at that. "He didn't....he-I'm sorry. I'm sorry." She's babbling now, but she doesn't really notice or care. She tries to grab at Ellie's arm, and there's twine around her own.
"It's okay, and you have nothing to be sorry for, sweetie." Glancing up Michael, she's not sure what to do next.

"Which hospital should we take her to? One in our Chicago?" Probably not, since they won't be expecting someone to appear out of thin air. "The Nexus clinic? I don't know if they'd be equipped to do surgery." Like this. "What about... what about Atlantis? Donna?"

And then she sees the twine on Isobel's arm. Later, she's going to throw up and cry. And after that, she's going to find Jonathan and go medieval on him. NO. MORE. ABUSE.
"You're going to be okay, Isobel." He kneels down beside her and considers. "Atlantis would probably be best, in terms of technology and the trustworthiness of the doctors."

He pulls out his PINpoint and starts pulling up the coordinates he has for Atlantis; he's never actually been there but he's programmed in a lot of possible destinations.

"Is that all right, Isobel?"
She shakes, and she coughs, hard. She's still sick, of course. "Donna. You...you have to. You have to call."
Using her PINpoint, she brings up Donna's pre-programmed numbers, finding the Atlantis one and making the connection. Please be there. Please be there. After a few rings, Donna picks up. "Oh, thank God! It's Ellie. Isobel's at the stables and is hurt. Badly."

Since the patient in question is right there, she wants to stay as calm as possible and not relay just how dire things look right now. "Okay, you should have our coordinates now."
"...fuck." Yeah, Donna is not as surprised as she'd like to be. She harasses Sam for a second and then comes back to the phone. "Okay. Pinpoint right in, Sam's letting you in...I'll meet you there."
If Izzy weren't completely freaking out and fear gassed up and whatnot right now, she would be...totally not offended Donna is not surprised. Ha. "...it's okay. It's going to be ok..."
"Yes, it'll be okay. We're taking you to somewhere safe now."

Dr. Anders nods to Ellie and reaches out, resting one hand on her and one hand on Isobel's uninjured shoulder, as he activates the PINpoint, taking them to Atlantis.
